Active Deployments

Field Deployments

Active and ongoing projects across Indonesia — real-world proof of LoRaWAN reliability in the most demanding operational conditions.

Utilities / Water
SIER WTP Digital Transformation
Background

SIER WTP (Water Treatment Plant) — an aging facility processing grey water from industrial factories — required digitalization for remote monitoring and operational efficiency.

Solution

Deployed industrial-grade water metering and LoRaWAN-based water quality sensors for fully remote operational monitoring.

Challenge

Precision installation while the plant remained operational — zero tolerance for installation failure within process timing constraints.

CompletionJanuary 2026

Utilities / Water
Tj. Buyut WTP — Remote Island Deployment
Background

Tj. Buyut WTP sits on a remote island, processing sea and brackish water under open marine conditions. No cellular coverage. No road access. Every logistics window is governed by tidal schedules and weather.

Solution

Sea-water grade metering and LoRaWAN-based water quality sensors deployed across the island facility — enabling fully remote operational monitoring with no on-site staff requirement.

How We Executed It

Every component was specified, tested, and packed before the team departed. There is no "go back for the part you forgot" once you're offshore. The LNF team planned around tidal windows, weather contingencies, and equipment weight constraints — and departed with zero margin for error. Coverage achieved: 100% across all sensor points.

R&D / Hardware
IoT End-Device Design — muRata & Le Champ
Background

Engaged with Le Champ (PCB manufacturer) and muRata Singapore to design and develop custom LoRaWAN IoT end-devices for industrial use.

Solution

muRata provided a Panic Button Prototype containing the chipset and circuit board from Le Champ as the development foundation.

Challenge

Hardware prototyping is inherently iterative — device failures are part of finding the correct design. Flexibility in time and resources is essential.

Smart Water Meter Integration — Pinnacle
Background

Following evaluation at the Water Expo, Pinnacle was selected as the optimal technology partner for smart meter integration after testing multiple solutions.

Solution

Pinnacle meters integrate Bluetooth and an Android companion app, enabling easy in-field commissioning via mobile phone without additional hardware.

Challenge

App is currently Android-only and in active development — stability and feature parity improvements are ongoing before full deployment rollout.

FAQ

Common Questions

Before you reach out — answers to the questions we hear most from facilities managers and utility operators.

01Do you sell hardware only, or end-to-end?
End-to-end. We handle site survey, gateway installation, sensor procurement, network server configuration, and platform onboarding. You can also source your own hardware and use only our network and platform.
02What's the typical pilot duration and cost?
A standard pilot runs 4–6 weeks with 10–20 nodes. Pilot cost starts at IDR 75 jt — includes hardware, installation, and 3 months of platform access. No lock-in after the pilot.
03How does LoRaWAN compare to NB-IoT or 4G for our use case?
LoRaWAN is engineered for low-power sensor data — years of battery life, not months. NB-IoT costs 70–80% more annually and depends on cellular operator coverage. 4G is overkill for telemetry: you pay for bandwidth you'll never use. For water meters, utility sensors, and industrial monitoring, LoRaWAN is almost always the right choice.
04Who owns the data? Where is it stored?
You own the data. We operate on Indonesian cloud infrastructure and can deploy on-premises network servers for clients with strict data residency requirements. Data is never shared with third parties.
05Can you integrate with our existing SCADA or OSS?
Yes. The LNF platform exposes REST and MQTT APIs. We've integrated with Ignition SCADA, OSIsoft PI, and custom OSS systems. Integration assessment happens during the pilot phase.
06What if LoRaWAN won't work at our location?
We conduct a free site survey before any proposal. If LoRaWAN isn't right for your environment — we'll tell you first, and can recommend hybrid or alternative LPWAN approaches.
